With Kate Middleton being criticised for taking part in cruel blood sports, it seems that it must run in the family with her younger brother now coming under increased scrutiny for his involvement in social shoots.

In what can only be described as bizarre, a series of pictures have emerged of James Middleton in strange poses with friends and dead animals. The most unusal are the pictures of the youngest Middleton and friends playing with a dead squirrel, going so far as to pose with it in several photographs.

In other pictures, James readily poses with dead birds obviously slaughtered in social hunts. Even stranger still are the various pictures of Middleton and his friends in highly sexual poses, often dressed in women's clothing or very intoxicated. All photographs are readily available on various internet sites.

An example of one of the many strange pictures of James Middleton.

Kate Middleton fluffs her fulltime non-job to shop

Kate Middleton has been trying to push her new found enthusiam for working by dribbling bits and pieces to the media about her enormously important role at Party Pieces.

Said to be working so hard that she has no time to herself, starting early in the morning and finishing late at night, Kate's sudden industriousness we were told was her way of proving her critics wrong. Well it all seems to have been in vain for Miss Middleton has reverted back to her old ways and hobbies, one of which is shopping.

Katie Nichol from the Mail On Sunday has reported that Kate has been frequenting a West London shop called TK Maxx. Miss Nichol writes: 'The 26-year-old is a huge fan of the bargain-basement outlet TK Maxx in Kensington High Street, West London, where she pops in at least once a week.'

Miss Nichol also quotes one of Kate's pals: "Kate loves a spot of cut-price shopping. She's in TK Maxx all the time having a root through the knock-down designer rails."

Adding the time it takes to travel into London from her parents Berkshire home, we wonder just how much and how long Kate frequents "work".

The Telegraph's Mandrake column has revealed that Chelsy Davy will spend a week working at Allen & Overy's private equity division in the corporate department. The change in venue is due to Chelsy's apparent interest in the current economic crisis sweeping the globe.

Mandrake quotes an insider: "Chelsy has decided that in the current crisis a career in corporate law is an interesting option. She would have gone through a strict interview process and undergone a gruelling case-study scenario."

Meanwhile, Adam Helliker from the Sunday Express reveals that Chelsy has been staying at Clarence House whilst on work experience. The gossip scribe writes: "Miss Davy, 23, returns to Clarence House (where she has been spending most nights) and after a quiet supper with her royal lover, she retires early with a selection of law books."

Prince William grows a beard whilst Kate Middleton takes part in bird kill

Prince William & Kate Middleton have been photographed together for the first time in months, not having a romantic dinner or visiting a London nightclub, but during a shooting party in the fields of Sandringham.

Sporting a beard, Wills and his on-off girlfriend were photographed by paps who were standing on public road, delighting in shooting birds at the Queen's Christmas residence. Donning her now infamous fur hat, Middleton took aim and shot at anything with feathers. Along with the pair was Prince Harry and an unidentified woman.

A source told the News of the World about William's beard: “He has been back about a week and knew it was only a matter of time before someone spotted him. Everyone has been saying it makes him look like some of the old British kings. No one is sure if he’s going to keep it. But it’s here for now.”

A spokesman for Animal Aid Charity was disappointed to see Kate Middleton shooting pheasant, telling the Mail on Sunday: ‘It’s depressing that Kate should be drawn into the Royal habit of killing for fun. There is no tradition of shooting in her family, yet she is now senselessly taking the lives of birds. It seems that you cannot enter the Royal Family’s inner circle without spilling blood for pleasure.’

Kate Middleton watches another waiting "princess"

With families around the world tightening their belts and being unable to take part in their normal evenings of entertainment, it seems that Kate Middleton is indulging as usual.

According to the Day & Night column in the Daily Express, Kate was seen watching the England National Ballet's "Sleeping Beauty" at the Coliseum in Covent Garden.

The ballet, which has a rather short run of a week and a half, tells the tale of beautiful Princess Aurora who was the victim of an evil spell cast upon her by a nasty fairy. Eventhough the Princess was saved by a good fairy, she was doomed to sleep for 100 years...WAITING...until her handsome prince came along, kissed her and then became her husband. Perhaps Kate was taking notes?

It has been announced by Clarence House that Prince Harry is to begin training next month to become an Army Air Corps helicopter pilot after Harry successfully passed the unit’s selection process. Harry, 24, will commence on a four week course to asses his flying abilities.

If Harry is successful in his training he would be then be able to go on to the full 16 month training programme, where he would be able to fly one of three different types of helicopters; Gazelle and Lynx which are used for reconnaissance or Apache which is used for attack. Indeed, Harry who is an officer with the Household Cavalry Regiment and served on the front line in Afghanistan earlier in the year, has made no secret of the fact he wants to return to active service, and must surely be looking forward to returning to training.

Prince Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy has started a two week work experience placement with one of the most prestigious law firms in the country, Farrer & Co., who also happen to be the Queen’s solicitors.

Chelsy, who was selected for the work placement from hundreds of applicants, was spotted by photographers on her lunch break today looking smart and professional in a dress suit whilst popping into a near by Starbucks. It seems that, unlike Prince William’s girlfriend Kate Middleton, Chelsy has a clear work ethic and is keen to put her obvious intelligence to use.

Prince William reportedly invites Kate Middleton to Sandringham

Howdy-ho-ho! Kate could bring the turkey!

Prince William has reportedly asked his granny's permission to shack up with Kate Middleton during the Christmas break. According to the Daily Star's much maligned Clive Goodman, HM is pleased with the pair sharing a "lovenest" during the festive season.

MrGoodman writes: 'Prince William has asked the Queen’s permission to spend Christmas in a lovenest with Kate Middleton. Wills, 26, wants to use a remote shooting lodge on his gran’s Sandringham estate to celebrate the festive season with his own Christmas cracker. Normally Kate, also 26, spends the holiday with her parents at a rented stately home in Perthshire. But William wants to relax with her before starting a year of intensive training as an RAF helicopter pilot.'

A friend of the couple tells Mr Goodman: “This could be his last Christmas with Kate for some time. His training and rescue duties are going to take him away from home so he would like to make this Christmas special for her. They could still share Christmas Day with his father and the rest of the family at the main house but return to their own world in the evening.” Aw...Bless them.

After making the Kate apologists all misty eyed, Mr Goodman then puts the boot into Middleton and her family: 'The Queen is thought to be perfectly happy about the arrangement. But some courtiers have raised their eyebrows. They feel there should be no special treatment of Kate unless she and William formalise their relationship with an engagement. One confided: “If you make an exception for one, why not for everyone? Frankly, many people feel that Miss Middleton and her family are quite pushy enough.”' Indeed!

Carole Middleton blabs to the press

After years of ‘sources’ and ‘friends’ being the Middleton’s unofficial mouthpiece to the British press, Kate Middleton’s mother Carole has now spoken directly to the press by allowing herself to be quoted in the Mandrake column in the Daily Telegraph.

Whilst attending the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury, no doubt invited due to her being Kate Middleton’s mother, Carole Middleton used the opportunity to inform the press she feels “vulnerable” from all the attention Katy Waity’s relationship with Prince William has brought. A tad rich coming from a woman who trotted along to Prince William’s passing out parade at Sandringham looking more royal than royalty. Indeed, it seems that Carole or Mrs Meddleton now wants to play the victim:

"You see, I feel very vulnerable about everything," she told Mandrake last weekend at the Hennessy Gold Cup, at Newbury racecourse, just a few miles from her house in Berkshire. "I'm not a celebrity and don't want to be one. Celebrities have minders and PR people. I don't want a PR person and wouldn't want to have to pay to employ one. I haven't asked for all this."

Carole also used the opportunity to dispell the infamous chewing gum rumour when she supposedly met the Queen. The fact Carole decided to let slip this little detail about the Queen has left many royal watchers questioning if William and Kate are still together.
