Say "ahhh" Chelsy!

According to the Mail On Sunday, Chelsy Davy spent time in hospital due to wisdom teeth.

Columnist Katie Nicholl writes: "Chelsy was in so much pain medics decided to operate.She is on a diet of soup while she recovers and has excitedly told friends she cannot wait to see Harry and that their relationship is ‘stronger than ever’ - Zimbabwean Chelsy was checked into a London hospital last week and is making a speedy recovery." Excellent news!

Meanwhile, the article tells us that Harry has dashed back from Canada to come to Chelsy's rescue. The only thing wrong with that theory is that Harry had already returned to the UK and was seen attending the memorial service for his godfather, Gerald Ward.

Kate Middleton to wait and wait and wait and wait....

Today's Mail on Sunday article: Yet more waiting for Waity!

She's gained the name of "Waity" Middleton because she's seemingly put her life on hold, waiting for a proposal from Prince William, but it looks like she'll have to wait a while longer yet.

According to Katie Nicholl from the Mail on Sunday, William may very well have another 7 years of RAFing to go through before he and Kate can settle down to a blissful onff marriage. Ms Nicholl writes: "The 26-year-old Prince, who wants to become a pilot with the RAF’s Search and Rescue Force, will be asked to commit to six years’ service on top of the 18 months he will spend training from January."

The more interesting angle to this latest article is how a source is maintaining that Prince William must be seen to be worthwhile to taxpayers. The source tells Ms Nicholl: ‘William still sees himself as very young and he’s not in any hurry to get married. Next year was being seriously considered for an engagement, but the chances are William will wait until he finishes his training. That’s when he and Kate will have a big decision to make. If he passes his training, then he has to commit to the RAF for six more years. He will have a choice of placements, but he will be away from London for much of the time and living in military accommodation. Kate will ultimately have to decide not only if she’s happy to wait, but if she’s happy to be a military wife. There’s no doubt William is putting his career first. The last time he did that was when he was training with the Blues and Royals, and that’s when they split. William’s decision to join the RAF caught everyone at the Palace by surprise. It has thrown all the planning for a 2009 wedding into chaos. He is very headstrong to the point of being pig-headed. When he feels he’s being pushed into something, he does the complete opposite. No one really knows what his plan is as far as marriage is concerned.’ Being pushed into marriage perhaps?

A friend of the pair then made conflicting statements to Ms Nicholl: ‘William assured Kate that she is the one and that they will marry but it may not be for a while, now that he is joining the RAF. After Mustique, Kate said they’d reached an understanding, and there was talk of an engagement announcement around Christmas. However that could all be revised now.’

So what's it going to be? Around Christmas or in 7 years time?

Undeployable Prince Harry to be deployed

Some tabloids are screaming that he's undeployable and should "Get over it" but today's edition of the Daily Express Sunday is singing a different tune.

Columnist Adam Helliker writes: "I can reveal that protracted negotiations between the Prince’s aides and the Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Richard Dannatt, have resulted in the decision to allow Harry to see active service again as a lieutenant with the Blues and Royals."

An officer that served with Harry in Afghanistan, told Mr Helliker: “He has finally won the argument that with one mission under his belt he has the experience and training to go back. As a full-time member of the Blues and Royals he would expect to be with his regiment when they return and that is what will now happen. He’s really keen to go but it will be a few months yet. His view is that despite all the obvious drawbacks because of his position he’s still a trained soldier who expects to face the same risks as the rest of his regiment. As an officer, how can he command respect from his troops if he doesn’t go through what they have to?”

Prince Harry pays tribute to his godfather

Prince Harry has attended the funeral for his godfather and good friend to Prince Charles, Gerald Ward. The 70 year-old died after suffering a heartattack whilst playing golf. Harry and Camilla's son, Tom, acted as ushers during the service.

Princess Mary dons ridiculous outfit in an effort to be the new Diana

Mary in training to be a security dog handler?

It was one of those cringe-worthy moments. There was Princess Mary, the Austradanish future Queen, swanning about a landmine infested area in Uganda being hailed as the next Diana. But in my mind at least she was less Princess Diana-like and more reminiscent of one of those dog handlers who allow vicious, drooling canines to rip at them whilst writhing about on the ground.

So ridiculously distracting was her landmine proof outfit (as one likes to call them) the whole point to Mary's appearence was lost somewhere after the lines "a series of aid commitments " and "taking part in an exercise to destroy mines in Uganda". More used to stepping on the various "royal landmines" and being blown up by the Danish press, one must wonder what village idiot is running this landmine defusing gig when they're allowing a novice Princess to destroy landmines. Seriously folks....would you walk anywhere after Mary's cleared it "bomb free"?

Far less conspicuous "Mary" outfit.

The similarities between Diana and Mary really can't be identified. Take the first picture above as an example: Mary is wearing sunglasses. Diana is far less delicate and is not. Mary is wearing her Clown Princess Supa-Bomb Defusing Outfit in Cornflower Blue. Diana is wearing a simple visor and blast proof vest (sensible for when one takes a walk amongst some TNT). Mary is nonchalantly looking away from the cameras, perhaps feigning a regal air of disinterest. Diana is not (she appears to be in fact thinking "I hope I don't step on a bomb"). If I were to walk through a landmine area, I know who I'd prefer to be following.

Kate Middleton: The typical housewife?

A survey has revealed that most adolescent girls would prefer to be a housewife rather than an engineer. The poll of 506, 13-18 year-old girls conducted by New Outlooks in Science & Engineering, showed that the most popular careers for teenager girls were modelling and acting, closely followed by teaching, journalism and law.

The Daily Mail's Maysa Rawi writes: "Girls are put off because such careers "don't sound glamorous" and a similar number said they were "jobs for boys." In a world that seems to promote idleness, revered celebrities such as royal WAG Kate Middleton and heiress Paris Hilton send girls the message that you don't necessarily need a job to make millions or bag yourself a prince."
