Did Prince William break up Paris and Benji?

It was almost inevitable. But speculation is now rife amongst some parts of the media that Prince William was the cause of the recent split between Paris Hilton and Benji Madden of the band Good Charlotte. Benji was said to be “furious” over newspaper reports that Prince William planned to spend News Years Eve with Paris.

Paris Hilton & Prince William: A match made in tabloid heaven?

Yet another chapter in the tabloid saga that is 'When Paris met Prince William'. According to a new report by the 3am girls in the Sunday Mirror (remember them? The 3am girls were the same people who partied along with Wills & Harry at Whisky Mist last week), Paris Hilton has texted Wills to thank him for a great evening and invited him to the opening of her new venture in Las Vegas.

A source told the 3am girls: "Paris and Wills really hit it off in the club. William gave her his Blackberry number and email address after Paris thrust him hers.She then sent him a cheeky text the following day, basically saying ‘thanks for a super-fun evening’. Some of William’s mates saw it and have been taking the mick ever since.The royal set find the whole thing totally hilarious and have been encouraging him to go to Vegas for the opening of Paris’ latest venture. Although flattered by her attentions, William doesn’t think he can justify the jaunt - and has politely turned her down. But he’s definitely up for a few drinks the next time Paris is in town.”

"Kate who?": Prince William seen swapping phone numbers with Paris Hilton

Prince William has one night in..er with..Paris.

Prince William has been spotted swapping phone numbers with Paris Hilton. According to The Mirror, Paris was escorted by Guy Pelly, firstly to Christina Aguilera's table and was met with a frosty acknowledgement. Then Pelly took Paris to see his old buddy Prince William.

The Mirror article states: 'To ease the frosty atmosphere Guy led Paris to Wills’ table – a safe 30 yards away. There she got stuck into the free Moet and told us: “Don’t you love the Princes? They are so hot. I just had to say hi.”

But according to those nearby, Harry and initially Wills, were not as happy to see Paris. The Mirror says: 'Sadly, the feeling wasn’t mutual – at least not at first. Harry scarpered and when Wills returned he was not amused to find Paris holding court at his table. She tried to cosy up to him on the couch and he even turned his shoulder and started talking to a mystery blonde on his right. But when that girl went to the loo, Paris moved in.'

But Wills seemed to change his mind after a while and the heir to the throne and the heir to an absolute fortune seemed to become quite close. The Mirror insider continues: 'We were about to rush to William’s rescue, then we saw they were swapping phone numbers. Xtina who? And, more importantly, Kate who? Half an hour later we saw Paris apply more lipgloss, while asking Wills: “Does this look OK?” Not the best chat-up line, but it seemed to work. Wills was glued to her side or the rest of the night.'

It seems that it did indeed work as The Mirror continued: 'As the lights came on at 3.15am, the royal bodyguards tried to round up the Princes. But Wills was reluctant to go. “Make sure she [Paris] gets out of here OK,” he ordered one flunkey.'

Prince William, Chelsy and Princesses Bea & Eugenie have enjoyed a night out at London's trendy Whisky Mist nightclub. Joining the throng of royalty and celebrities was the ultimate socialite, Paris Hilton (below) and Christina Aguilera.

Before they ventured to Whisky Mist, Princesses Beatrice & Eugenie dined with their mother at the Zuma Restaurant. Also there was the very beautiful-once-linked-romantically-to-Prince-William, Camilla Fayed (below).

According to the Daily Mail, both Prince Harry and Kate Middleton were not there but Chelsy Davy turned up with a gaggle of friends and was reportedly getting along well with Paris Hilton.
