Royal stalkers are psychotic

A Camilla fan perhaps?

Monash University in Melbourne and the Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health have released findings of a study into the behaviour of those who stalk members of the British Royal Family. The most startling fact was that in 80% of cases the stalker was suffering serious mental disorders such as schizophrenia and hallucinations.

The boffins looked at over 20,000 incidents involving members of the Royal Family and found that over a 15 year period, 600 people managed to get close to a royal family member and there was 17 attacks on members of staff, police protection officers and/or property.

Forensic psychiatrist, Paul Mullen, from Monash University in Melbourne said: "We didn't expect such high rates of psychosis. It was very surprising to us."

Perhaps the most imfamous instance of a royal being stalked was when Michael Fagan broke into Buckingham Palace in 1982. The Queen woke when she was disturbed by a curtain moving only to realise that Mr Fagan was in her bed chamber. He then sat at the edge of her bed and chatted to her for over 10 minutes. He was arrested but not charged with trespass.

Prince Harry meets NY Mayor Bloomberg

Harry meeting Mayor Bloomberg.

The Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg met Prince Harry at Clarence House for about 30 minutes. The pair discussed all sorts of interesting topics, including Harry's charity Sentebale.

There's really nothing else interesting to report about the meeting so let's all just stop and stare at the picture above.

Prince William visits the MoD ..and some other places with lots of letters

Prince William says "Howdy-doody" to the MoD & Sir Jock
(no that's not his pornstar name).

A few weeks ago Prince William spent some time visiting the MoD and PJHQ (don't ask..we don't know either). The future Sea/Air Rescuer spent a week familiarising himself with the "capability, organisation, equipment and ethos of Britain's Armed Forces" whatever that may mean.

Sporting a rather obvious comb-over (yes!), Wills was pictured (above) ordering his lunch (beef bourguignonne we believe), before writing a "Dear Kate, you're no longer needed" letter.

Ok, that may be stretching things just a little bit....

Prince Ernst sues former lawyer

Ernstly trying to sober up!

The much maligned husband of Princess Caroline of Monaco is once again making headlines for the wrong reasons. This time the 54 year-old distant relation to the Queen of England is suing a former laywer for wrongfully claiming that he couldn't control himself whilst under the influence of alcohol. The defence came after Ernst was accused of assaulting a club owner 8 years ago. The prince has always denied those claims, going as far as paying £26,000 for an advertisement in The Times in order to clear his name.

In this latest claim against lawyer Dr Jochen Heidemeier, Ernst is asking for €5, 000, and if he succeeds he intends to donate the sum to a children's charity in Kenya.

Denmark to vote on royal succession

Boy or girl?

The Danes are set to vote in a referendum to alter Denmark's male only requirements for succession to the throne. As is already the case in neighbouring Sweden, absolute primogeniture means that any child, regardless of gender, can inherit the throne legitimately. Currently most of the worlds royal families are bound by male-preference primogeniture (cognatic primogeniture) meaning that male heirs can inherit the throne before their female family members.

Denmarks Prime Minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen said: 'It isn't an issue right now that Prince Christian is the first-born child and heir. But we thought it was appropriate to change the law at a point where it wasn't about a particular person and instead about the principle.'

Yes! Kate Middleton is pointless

The Independent.

The Independent columnist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown has won fans in some royalists with her witty remarks about Wills and Kate.

She writes: 'GAWD BLESS the RAF. It will make a man of Prince William yet, perhaps even a King who doesn’t embarrass and infuriate. Republicanism, alas, isn’t likely to sweep through our country any time soon. All we can hope is that the monarchs of the future can be tamed and trained to be fit for purpose. Prince William wants to fly rescue missions and will need to sign up for seven years, like others who join. Excellent lessons both. He will have to defer gratification and learn that he has no automatic, special privileges.'

Of Kate, she had one short but very honest comment to make: 'Let’s hope Kate Middleton also moves on from her singularly pointless lifestyle and finds purpose.'

We won't hold our breath.

Prince William will "snub" Kate Middleton for 8 years but she could dump him ...ha ha!

Wait, Kate & eight rhyme.

Tucked away on page 12 of the Daily Star was a world exclusive regarding Kate Middleton and Prince William. The article is a repeat with a twist of the Mail On Sunday blurb. William is putting his "career" first and will not consider marriage until that is over. 8 years in fact!

One line was particularly hilarious: 'And the shock snub has sparked speculation that Kate, 26, could decide to dump her royal lover.' Oh no (one says trying to sound sincere).
